I can't believe we're leaving for Florida on Tuesday. Usually it takes me at least a week to unpack my suitcase after a trip, but this time I only get three days. The good thing is I finished all of my Thanksgiving baking today. It took me all weekend, but I've got pumpkin bread, two kinds of cranberry bread (one with fresh cranberries and the other with canned cranberry sauce), pumpkin cookies (my favorite recipe with chocolate chips and butterscotch chips), and cranberry cookies (with white chocolate chips) packed and ready to take with us. My feet are killing me from standing in the kitchen for two days straight. I wish that counted for a workout because my trips to the gym have been few and far between lately. I planned to make up for that this weekend, but it didn't turn out the way I planned. Oh well. My life isn't going to be back to normal until sometime in December thanks to another business trip the week after Thanksgiving. And when that's over I'll have to start thinking about Christmas baking! If my willpower doesn't get me back to the gym soon all this baking certainly will!
