It's Saturday and I have a long list of things I need to accomplish this weekend, but I'm sitting here watching DVRed episodes of House instead. I did bookmark a bunch of new recipes online from my library of cooking magazines while I was watching, though. One of my New Year's resolutions is to cook more often and try new recipes, and I'm well on my way. I still don't cook as often as I like, thanks to the fact that Dan and I work so much, but I have tried some new things that have been pretty good. And after seeing how much I spent on eating out last month I think I need to invest in more home-cooked meals. A couple of weeks ago I made a creamy pesto sauce for pasta that was delicious and couldn't have been simpler, and on Monday I made Greek meatballs with tzatziki dipping sauce. Very tasty, even though I made the meatballs with beef instead of lamb (couldn't find any at the grocery store). On a totally different subject, I am currently downloading Twilight on iTunes! I decided not to buy the DVD because I knew Dan would never want to watch it, and the last thing we need is more stuff cluttering up our house. This way I watch it on my iPod while I'm flying to DC next weekend. Yes, another business trip is on the horizon. In fact, I've got two planned in the next month. Well, Dan and I are going to meet with a CPA about our taxes in a little while so I'd better get started on my to do list.
