How many engineers does it take to retract a projection screen? Apparently a room full of graduate students isn’t enough. In class today no one could seem to figure it out. Speaking of engineers, I just posted a diary entry relating the recent antics of the members of my research group. The next item on our agenda is to photograph the rapidly disappearing Engineering I building. It’s being torn down at an incredible rate and the demolition is creating a toxic environment outside our lab. The dust on the ground is so thick that you leave footprints like you’re walking in snow. That can’t be healthy. And the fact that the workers are wearing masks doesn’t make me feel any better.
